Ford Among McConnell Scholars Class of 2021

A Trigg County native is among the 2021 class of the McConnell Scholars Program.

Grayson Ford, of Cadiz, currently attends the University of Louisville, where he studies political science and economics. Ford is a member of the UofL Harlan Scholars Program.

Ford graduated from Trigg County High School in 2017, where he earned a 4.0 GPA and was named Salutatorian. He was also a member of the National Honors Society and was active in Beta Club, KYA, and Y-Club. He was a three-time attendant of the McConnell Center’s Young Leaders Academy.

The McConnell Scholars Program is a prestigious enrichment program aimed at Kentucky residents who have demonstrated outstanding leadership potential and are committed to the principles of scholarship, leadership and service. There are 10 awards given each year, and the program has produced more than 200 successful alumni. The program is open to Kentucky high school graduates with a minimum 3.5 GPA. Applicants must at least minor in political science.
