A fire at an Allensville Street home in Elkton caused significant damage Saturday morning.
Elkton Firefighters say no one was home when a fire broke out near a downstairs closet around 8 am.
The home located at 434 Allensville Street suffered significant fire, smoke, and water damage to the lower level of the home.
The American Red Cross is assisting the one person that stayed in the home and the cause of the fire remains unknown.
