A home on Cooper Drive in Oak Grove was damaged in a cooking fire Saturday afternoon.
Oak Grove Firefighters say a cooking fire damaged the kitchen and caused smoke damage throughout the home.
The occupant was reportedly cooking and left the room and when he returned there was a fire quickly spreading.
He was able to get out of the home and was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation.
The home is located at 1009 Cooper Drive.
