A Crofton man was charged with theft Friday morning after staying at a friend’s home in Hopkinsville.
Hopkinsville Police say 45-year-old Thomas Looney was staying at a friend’s house while they were out of town and took $2,500 worth of items from the home.
He reportedly told police he may have taken the items but can’t remember because he was under the influence at the time.
Looney is charged with theft by unlawful taking and two counts of probation violation.
