Caldwell County Announces 12th COVID-19 Case

Caldwell County has announced another coronavirus (COVID-19) case.

Judge/Executive Larry Curling stated Friday that the Pennyrile District Health Department reported the county’s 12th case, a 70-year-old male who is currently self-quarantined at home. He adds that his thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery are continuing to go out to those in the community affected by the virus and their families.Two people remain hospitalized with the virus while Caldwell’s remaining nine cases are in self-quarantine and recovering at home.

Elected officials and medical professionals are urging the community to continue to adhere to social distancing guidelines by staying “healthy at home,” washing their hands frequently, and keeping at least six feet between themselves and others if they must venture out for essential items.
