Police have released more information about a wreck that severely injured a Pembroke man on McLean Avenue Friday night.
Hopkinsville Police say a truck driven by 54-year-old Ralph Jones was eastbound on McLean Avenue when for an unknown reason the vehicle ran off the road at the intersection of Cayce Avenue hitting multiple trees before coming to a stop.
Jones fled the area but was located on Avalon Hills by police. He was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for severe head injuries.
Police believe alcohol may have been a factor in the crash but Jones reportedly told police someone ran him off the road.
