Final Year Of Capital Campaign Completed For HCC Rotary Scholars Program

The Hopkinsville Rotary Club ended the fifth and final year of the capital campaign, which featured donations from an anonymous donor for the Rotary Scholars Program at Hopkinsville Community College Tuesday afternoon.

Rotary member Rick Paxton says the program was created five years ago.

He adds the final check for $200,000 brought total contributions to $1,000,000.

Jeremy Calico, Director of Academic Program Facilitation at Hopkinsville Community College reported in December that the program has seen over 880 students, meaning their two-year degree was fully paid for at the college.

Funds for the program will continue to be raised during the annual Hopkinsville Rotary Club auction.
