Hopkinsville Home Hit Several Times In Shooting

A North Iris Drive home was hit three times in a shooting Saturday morning.

Hopkinsville Police Sgt. Ceasar Sierra said they had been called to the area for a report of shots fired an hour before getting a call from the owner of 205 North Iris Drive stating her home had been hit.

Sierra said multiple people were inside the home when the shooting happened but the police were not called until the owner of the home arrived.

Sierra said all three bullets pierce the front of the home hitting a sofa, an interior wall and the third traveled through the home before hitting the back wall of the house.

One person in the home suffered minor injuries from shrapnel but refused medical attention.

Police were called to the same house on August 23rd when the home and a truck parked in front of the home were hit in a shooting.

Police ask if you have any information about this shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 270-887-TIPS (8477).
