Hopkinsville Woman Charged With Endangering The Welfare Of A Minor

A Hopkinsville woman was charged after she reportedly got into a fight with a Christian County Middle School student while holding a child Tuesday night.

Hopkinsville Police say 43-year-old Tavara Morrison got into a physical fight with a student over a phone, while she was holding a baby, during a basketball game at Hopkinsville Middle School.

Morrison allegedly handed the baby to an adult and went after the student again before the police were able to stop her.

When police tried to arrest Morrison she pulled away removing her shirt before they were able to get her on the ground and arrest her.

During the arrest police say Morrison was yelling profanities. She is charged with resisting arrest, endangering the welfare of a minor, and second-degree disorderly conduct.
