Todd County Schools will be closed Thursday and Friday due to widespread illness.
Assistant Superintendent Camille Dillingham tells the News Edge a high number of students and staff were out sick Wednesday.
She says students and staff have been affected by a variety of other illnesses.
In addition, Dillingham says there will not be any type of extracurricular activities and all school campuses will be closed.
She notes the schools will be thoroughly cleaned and they hope classes will resume Monday.
Dillingham says all students should begin work at home on Non-Traditional Instruction (NTI) Work Day 1 and Day 2 so these days will not count against the district at the end of the year.
