A Hopkinsville man was charged after he fled from police as they investigated a hit-and-run on Evergreen Park Drive Saturday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to Evergreen Park Drive after a vehicle hit a mailbox then fled the area.
The vehicle was reportedly found on Arden Place and 30-year-old Johnnie Gregg Jr. who was in the driveway fled on foot.
After Gregg was allegedly stopped by police he attempted to flee again and was arrested.
He is charged with second-degree fleeing or evading police and resisting arrest. Gregg also had several warrants for probation violation, contempt of court, and failure to appear.
