A wreck on Fort Campbell Boulevard near the intersection of Eagle Way sent a Hopkinsville man to the hospital Friday night.
Hopkinsville Police say an SUV driven by 35-year-old Lamartine Coleman was southbound on Fort Campbell Boulevard just south of the Eagle Way intersection when he says a vehicle was backing up in the roadway and he swerved causing his SUV to run into a ditch.

The vehicle overturned coming to a rest on its top. Multiple beer cans and a gin bottle were reportedly located around the overturned vehicle and Coleman had problems keeping his balance while standing with officers.
Coleman was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for cuts to his head, face, and arms.
As police were investigating the crash they were allegedly told about mailboxes that had been hit by a vehicle matching the description of Coleman’s SUV on Gale Lane.
Coleman was charged with DUI and arrested on an out of state warrant for theft.
