A Sinking Fork Elementary School student was a “Sheriff for a Day” in Christian County Tuesday.
The sheriff’s department reports Jackson Wilfong was the recent winner of a contest held in the school. Other than spending the day with Sheriff Tyler DeArmond, who showed him a little of what they do on a daily basis, Jackson was able to take a tour of the new sheriff’s office, dispatch center, Justice Center, and even stopped by the Hopkinsville Fire Department.

Jackson also had the opportunity to experience a Christian County Fiscal Court meeting where he was “sworn-in” as the Sheriff for the Day by Judge/Executive Steve Tribble.
