A Hopkinsville woman was arrested after she reportedly chased a man into his home and assaulted him on East 23rd Street Sunday morning.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to East 23rd Street for an assault and burglary. They found the victim on the floor with blood coming from his face.
The victim was reportedly able to tell police 33-year-old Lashikka Anderson chased him into the home and used some kind of object to assault him causing lacerations to his face and back.
Anderson was located on Hazel Street where she was arrested and charged with first-degree assault.
The victim was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. The extent of the injuries remains unknown.
Police say they are not sure if there will be more arrests from this assault.
