A Hopkinsville woman was charged with criminal abuse after a 3-year-old she was taking her of was reportedly found staying in poor conditions Saturday night.
Hopkinsville Police say they were called to Faulkner Street for a disturbance and found 44-year-old Tamerika Dodson on the front porch of the home under the influence of alcohol.
Beer cans were reportedly all around the porch and her 3-year-old grandson was outside with her.
Police say the child had a red mark on the side of his head and Dodson could not say where it came from. Inside the home police reportedly found cockroaches and a child’s toilet that was full of urine and had not been cleaned.
Dodson is charged with second-degree criminal abuse and public intoxication.
