Hopkinsville Woman Charged With Second DUI

A Hopkinsville woman was charged with DUI and endangering the welfare of a minor after a traffic stop on Fort Campbell Boulevard Friday night.

Hopkinsville Police say 37-year-old Meri Coleman was stopped when police noticed the passenger not wearing a seatbelt.

During the stop, Coleman was reportedly shaking and could barely hold her driver’s license.

After a search of the vehicle police allegedly found marijuana, a grinder and rolling papers in a bag with her name on it.

Also in the vehicle police say they found medication that did not belong to anyone in the vehicle.

A child was also in the vehicle at the time of the stop. Coleman is charged with DUI second offense, endangering the welfare of a minor, and theft of a legend drug.
