Man Charged After Shots Fired Call In Hopkinsville

Hopkinsville Police charged a man with wanton endangerment and possession of drugs after a report of shots fired Saturday night.

Hopkinsville Police say 24-year-old DeQuan Cushenberry was found kneeling next to a stormwater drain at East 14th Street and Liberty Street where a loaded handgun was found in the drain.

Five shell casings were also found on East 14th Street at Coleman Street. Police also found 3 ecstasy pills, marijuana, and brass knuckles on Cushenberry.

No one was injured and no damage to any property has been found.

Cushenberry is charged with wanton endangerment, possession of marijuana, possession of a controlled substance, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of drug paraphernalia, and tampering with physical evidence.
