A Hillcrest Drive home was damaged and a dog was killed in the fire Sunday afternoon.
Hopkinsville Fire Department Battalion Chief Michael Henderson told the News Edge at the scene one dog was killed in the fire, but a woman and a second dog were able to get out of the home uninjured.
The American Red Cross was called to assist the family.
