Hopkinsville Rotary Auction Needs Strong Push On Final Night

The Hopkinsville Rotary Club’s annual auction needs a big push on the final night of fundraising.

Rotarians ended Friday night with a total raised just over $224,000, which was more than $1,300 behind last years total after five nights of fundraising. Rotarians sold 132 items during the fifth night of the auction to raise $11,498.

Auction Chairman Trent Haddock says the Diner and Sweet Shop had a tremendous night thanks to the Friday night Fish Fry and brought in over $7,700 last night, for an overall total of over $23,887. He adds they will have more Boston Butts ready for pickup around noon today, which are $35 each.

According to Haddock, the auction is in serious need of Hour Club and Goat Club donations bringing in over $32,500 Friday night, down about $840 from 2018.

Tonight, Haddock says Rotarians need to sell 231 items and asks the public to bid high and bid often. You can call 270-885-5919 or 270-886-3034 to donate today and tonight.

The Diner and Sweet Shop opens at 5:00 Saturday afternoon and the auction gets underway at 6:00 at the Memorial Building in downtown Hopkinsville and can be seen online at
