Clarksville Police Officer Injured In Wreck Responding To Carjacking

A Clarksville Police officer was injured in a wreck as he responded to a carjacking Thursday night.

Clarksville Police say 32-year-old Officer Alan Greenman was responding to a call of a 20-year-old pizza delivery woman who had her vehicle stolen along with pizza on Robin Drive.

As Greenman responded with emergency lights and sirens on Fort Campbell Boulevard a vehicle he was passing in the northbound lanes came into his lane and he ran off the road around Tobacco Road hitting several things on the side of the road.

Greenman was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville where he remains in stable condition.

The stolen pizza delivery vehicle was found later on Durrett Drive and the pizza delivery woman was not injured.

No arrest has been made.
