A Cadiz man and two Princeton residents were arrested Thursday following a joint investigation by the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force, Princeton Police Department and the Probation and Parole Office.
The Task Force reports officers went to the 400 block of Maple Street in Princeton Thursday in an attempt to apprehend a parole violator, 32-year-old Clayton Wier of Cadiz. Wier was arrested and charged with parole violation. After an investigation, the Task Force also charged Wier with his second offense of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (Greater than 2 grams methamphetamine) first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (Lortab), possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Crittenden County Jail by Probation and Parole.
Authorities say the investigation also led to the arrest of 38-year-old Jason W. Thatcher and 39-year-old Cynthia D. Pentecost, both of Princeton. They were booked into the Caldwell County Jail with first-degree possession of a controlled substance (meth), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
