The man accused of taking a ten-year-old boy from Cadiz earlier this week has been charged with custodial interference.
According to a Trigg County District Court warrant, 27-year old Isaac Chamberlain of Elkton originally had permission from Isaih Boren’s mother to take Boren to Dawson Springs Saturday evening. Chamberlain and Boren reportedly left in the mother’s vehicle to pick up some clothing and decided to spend the night due to inclement weather conditions. Boren’s mother had minimal contact with Chamberlain, with the last contact late Sunday night with Chamberlain refusing to tell her the location of Boren.
An amber alert was issued early Tuesday morning for Boren, with both Chamberlain and Boren being located before noon Tuesday. Chamberlain is lodged in the Hopkins County Jail on a felony custodial interference charge.
