A wreck on Pennyrile Parkway severely injured two people Monday afternoon.
According to emergency personnel, an SUV driven by 76-year-old Richard Blauw of Indiana was on Pennyrile Parkway traveling south when it ran off the parkway into the median and down onto Pembroke Road falling 60 feet before hitting a concrete barrier causing it to overturn.
Blauw and his passenger 76-year-old Joyce Blauw of Indiana had to be cut from the vehicle and were taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center. Joyce Blauw was then flown to another hospital.
