Police attempted to stop a vehicle whose passenger had outstanding warrants and the driver fled Sunday afternoon.
According to a Madisonville Police report, police attempted to stop the vehicle in the area of Baptist Health after they noticed 27-year-old Jacob Ruckert was in the vehicle. The vehicle reportedly fled before hitting a sign, a concrete wall, and a dirt embankment.
Police say the driver 24-year-old Damien Golike fled and has not been located.
Ruckert was booked into the Hopkins County Jail charged with fleeing or evading police, possession of a firearm by a felon and first-degree possession of a controlled substance along with multiple warrants.
