Man Hurt In Sunday South Main Street Crash

A Hopkinsville man was injured when his vehicle hit an unoccupied parked car on South Main Street Sunday morning.

According to Hopkinsville Police, 56-year old George Reed was driving northbound shortly before 7:30 when in the 1800 block of South Main Street he stated his van’s engine died causing him to lose power and control of the steering. His van then crashed into the rear-end of the car parked in front of 1820 South Main Street. Police say both vehicles sustained severe damage.

Police say Reed was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment due to hip and leg pain.
