TCSO Looking For July 4th Pursuit Suspect

The Trigg County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a suspect involved in a pursuit in the early morning hours of July 4th.

Deputy Jason Key tells the News Edge the chase began shortly after 2:00 Wednesday morning when he was conducting patrol on KY-272 at Locust Grove Church Road and saw a car traveling west at a high rate of speed in the opposite lane of a two lane road. Deputy Keys says he pulled out, caught up with the vehicle and then activated his emergency equipment and the driver of the car accelerated. He says the pursuit continued on KY-272 when the driver turned left traveling west on US 68-80 and then turned on KY-164 where the driver preceded in a southerly direction until he failed to negotiate a left hand turn just pass Tiny Wood Road and run off into the woods. The driver then fled on foot and Deputy Key was unable to locate him.

Deputy Keys says the suspect is a Cadiz man. He notes they are continuing their investigation.
