Image: Google MapAuthorities say a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash on Ovil Road in Christian County Saturday afternoon.
Sgt. James Dragoo with the Christian County Sheriff’s Department tells the News Edge the wreck happened at Ovil Road and Woody Shelton Road around 5:00 p.m. He says the man was driving west on Ovil Road when for an unknown reason he ran off the right side of the road and the bike overturned several times.
The man was transported by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville with critical injuries, according to Sgt. Dragoo. He adds medical personnel tried to get the wreck victim flown to a hospital, but the helicopter was grounded due to weather conditions.
Sgt. Dragoo says the motorcyclist’s name is not being released at his time pending notification of family.
