A Hopkinsville man has been charged with assault and trafficking drugs after he allegedly hit a female in the head with a firearm.
Hopkinsville Police report officers responded to Grupo on Commerce Court around 2:50 Thursday morning in reference to an assault that took place. Upon arrival, police say the female victim stated she was hit in the head by 32-year old Xavier Bryant, who used a firearm to assault her.
Officers were granted a search warrant and went to Bryant’s residence in the 1300 block of Cates Street where they reportedly seized synthetic marijuana, small plastic baggies and $46 in cash.
Bryant was arrested and booked into the Christian County Jail charged with 1st Degree Assault, Possession of a Firearm By a Convicted Felon, and Trafficking in Synthetic Drugs.
