Summer And Fall Enrollment Open At HCC

Registration is underway for both summer and fall 2018 semesters at Hopkinsville Community College.

Director of Marketing and Communications, Rena Young says HCC’S two summer terms begin May 21 and July 2. Fall courses begin August 13 and October 15. She indicates HCC is offering more than 100 classes this summer and will have course offerings of more than 500 classes during the fall.

Additionally, HCC is welcoming students who are currently attending 4-year colleges and would like to return home and take courses locally over the summer. Chief Student Affairs officer Jason Warren says many local students returning home from college for the summer inquire about attending HCC during the summer and then transferring their credits back to their home college in the fall. He says HCC offers both career-ready programs as well as general education courses that will seamlessly transfer to any of Kentucky’s public four-year colleges. Warren notes it’s easy to apply to the college as a visiting student. He says there are three steps to this process: 1) Submit a free Application for Admission; 2) Submit a Visiting Student letter or official transcript from your home college; and 3) Explore financial aid to assist in paying tuition.

Young says HCC offers over 20 programs of study with a large assortment of majors leading to the Associate of Arts, Associate in Science, Associate in Science Pre-Engineering, Associate in Science Pre-Professional Program, Associate in Science – Math Transfer, Associate in Applied Science degrees and a variety of certificates and diplomas. She notes classes are conveniently offered during the day and evenings at both the Hopkinsville and Fort Campbell campuses.
