Authorities say a Dawson Springs woman has been charged with assault after she shot her husband Friday night.
Shortly after 9:35pm, the Hopkins County Sheriff’s Office reports deputies responded to a call of a self-inflicted gunshot wound in the 1400 block of Morris Beshear Road. During an investigation, deputies say it was determined that the male victim, Jonathan Greer, had been shot by his wife, Lacey.
Jonathan Greer was transported to an out of state hospital where he is listed in critical condition, according to the sheriff’s office.
Lacey Greer was arrested and lodged in the Hopkins County Jail charged with 1st Degree Assault.
