Princeton Man Charged With Assaulting Police Officer

A Princeton man is facing several charges, including assaulting a police officer. Princeton Police Chief Chris King reports officers went to a residence on Hillview Court shortly after 9:00 Wednesday night to serve a warrant and observed 18-year old Micah Ramey behind the home smoking marijuana. Chief King says Ramey charged at officers in an aggressive manner and was arrested after a short struggle.

Ramey was booked into the Caldwell County Jail charged with Possession of Marijuana, Resisting Arrest, 3rd Degree Assault of a Police Officer, 1st Degree Promoting Contraband, 1st Degree Possession of a Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine), Public Intoxication, Disorderly Conduct, and Tampering With Physical Evidence.
