Far Southeast Missouri
* Effective this Friday afternoon and evening from 300 PM until
1000 PM CDT.
* Primary threats include…
Several tornadoes and a couple intense tornadoes likely
Widespread large hail and scattered very large hail events to
2.5 inches in diameter likely
Widespread damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 80
mph likely
SUMMARY…Supercells ongoing across eastern MO and western IL are
expected to continue eastward into the destabilizing airmass
downstream across the region. All severe hazards, including very
large hail up to 2.5″ to 3″ in diameter and strong to intense
tornadoes, are possible.

Caldwell County – Due to the potential for severe weather this afternoon, the Caldwell County Courthouse will remain open overnight as a storm shelter. Please have access to weather alerts, and review your severe weather plan.
Lyon County – All locations will open at 5 p.m. Friday. The Judicial Center will NOT be open Friday evening. All locations except Kuttawa First Baptist Church and Macedonia Baptist Church allow pets on a leash or in a cage.
