Ice Cream Shop Opens Inside Cadiz Antique Mall (w/VIDEO)

A downtown Cadiz business is using ice cream as a way to lure both tourists and locals to an area that has seen several neighbors relocate. Ron Chapman and his wife Elizabeth have owned the Cadiz Antique Mall for the past two years. They decided that their business needed more than antiques to draw people in.

The 30,000 square foot mall features three floors and is one of the largest in western Kentucky. Chapman said the size on the first floor made it possible to open an old-style ice cream shop.

Chapman said he is trying to keep some of the building's history alive and featured prominently throughout the design of the shop.

Chapman said the Pigs Tail Ice Cream Shop will feature 8-12 ice cream flavors and some old-time favorites.

The Pigs Tail Ice Cream Shop will be open inside the Cadiz Antique Mall weekdays from noon to 5pm and from noon to 8pm on the weekend.
