Businesses in Cadiz may be able to take a leap forward on the information superhighway as Hopkinsville Electric looks to bring their high speed fiber optic internet service to town. Telecommunications Manager for Hopkinsville Electric, Richard Shaw spoke to businesses at the Cadiz Trigg County Chamber of Commerce Lunch and Learn Thursday about the opportunities faster reliable internet could bring to the area.
Shaw says while they do have some fiber customers in the area, they want to see what businesses would be interested before they branch out.
HES has been providing fiber internet to Christian County Schools, Jennie Stuart Medical Center, and the City of Hopkinsville since 1999.
