A Princeton woman is facing several drug-related charges following a traffic stop Sunday night.
Princeton Police Chief Chris King says that officers stopped a vehicle on Harvey Lane for only having one headlight illuminated just after eleven. He adds that when officers approached the vehicle they detected a strong odor of marijuana.
Chief King reports that a search of the vehicle produced suspected marijuana, approximately 30 grams of suspected methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and $1,600 in cash.
The driver, 38-year-old Kelly J. Rogers, was then taken into custody and charged with first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance – greater than or equal to 2 grams methamphetamine, marijuana possession, and drug paraphernalia buying or possessing, among other vehicle-related offenses.
Rogers was then lodged in the Caldwell County Jail.
