Area state parks will be offering Eagle Watch Weekends in late January and early February.
Kentucky State Parks reports Lake Barkley, Kenlake, and Kentucky Dam Village will offer the more than 40-year tradition to anyone interested. They add guests will be able to see bald eagles and other wildlife in their natural habitat.
The tours will be led by state park naturalists and staff from the Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources and conducted from the CQ Princess, a 96-foot yacht with a heated cabin. Each park will be offering overnight packages that include tour tickets and lodging.
Most tours last up to three and a half hours. Guests are encouraged to bring warm clothes, rain gear, and binoculars.
