Petrie Says Prison Costs And Repeat Offenders On Agenda

Kentucky lawmakers are expected to continue looking at how to reduce prison costs and repeat offenders when the General Assembly reconvenes next week.

State Representative Jason Petrie from Todd County says lawmakers will be looking at ways to make sure the money spent on corrections is producing results.

Petrie says one concern is the number of repeat offenders that are still on the street.

Petrie, who chairs the Kentucky House Judiciary Committee, represents Todd and Logan Counties in the General Assembly.
