An Elkton man was charged after a pursuit in Todd County Friday morning.
Todd County Sheriff Tracy White said they attempted to stop 25-year-old Thomas Gates in the area of Stokes Chapel Road after he followed a deputy so closely that his headlights could not be seen.
Gates reportedly fled at speeds of 65 MPH before jumping from the vehicle and fleeing on foot before being tased.
He was arrested and charged with first and second-degree fleeing or evading police, first-degree wanton endangerment, and reckless driving.
