Two events in Hopkinsville bring large turn out to pay respect for fallen veterans on Memorial Day.
Retired US Army Chaplain Richard Cooper spoke at both events about how good it is to be able to gather and honor these veterans at both cemeteries.
Wreaths were placed at both events that happen yearly at Riverside Cemetery and Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West.
Cooper said we do these memorials in honor of their memory and we do it for our sake to some degree even though our words and actions cannot fully repay their sacrifices.
