UPDATE- Woman injured in Hopkinsville wreck

A woman was injured when her car struck a vehicle and a porch Sunday morning on Means Avenue.

According to Hopkinsville Police Officer Michael Felts, 56-year-old Marilyn Jackson of Hopkinsville was attempting to turn into a driveway on Means Avenue when she attempted to pull in a little farther. Her foot reportedly slid off the brake, which caused her car to hit a vehicle driven 61-year-old Loetta Brooks, who was parked in front of her in the driveway. Jackson’s vehicle traveled down a slope, hit a tree and then a porch.

Jackson was taken to Jennie Stuart Medical Center by ambulance for injuries to her leg.
