A Hopkinsville man was charged with theft by unlawful taking or deception after a theft at a local salvage yard.
According to a Christian County Sheriff’s Office report, 71-year-old Richard Wilford was identified from surveillance photos of the theft and reportedly admitted to taking copper wire on several occasions and selling it to Green Earth Recycling.
He reportedly received $600 to $700 dollars for the wire.
