A woman was killed in a shooting on Sugg Street in Madisonville Monday night.
According to a Madisonville police report, Dominick Yarbrough called police reporting his fiancee had been shot at 10:30 pm. He was found outside the home when police arrived and led them to his fiancee Ashley Egan was found on the living room floor unresponsive.
Egan was taken to Baptist Health by ambulance but later died from her injuries. Yarbrough was also injured but the report does not list the type of injury.
According to the report a handgun was used in the shooting.
