The Christian County Sheriff’s Office has released the details regarding a Sunday afternoon wreck on the Pennyrile Parkway in that sent three people to the hospital.
Deputies report 91-year old Lucy Powell of Hopkinsville was driving her car south on the parkway shortly after 2:45 p.m. when she attempted to change lanes and collided with another southbound vehicle driven by 59-year old James Duncan of Oak Grove. Both vehicles exited the left shoulder of the road and crashed into a guardrail.
Powell, Duncan and another passenger in his vehicle, 57-year old Misty Thompson of Oak Grove were transported by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries. Three children in Duncan’s vehicle were uninjured in the crash, according to deputies.
