A Cadiz man was cited to court for multiple charges after he fled from police trying to make a traffic stop in Princeton Wednesday night.
Princeton Police Chief Chris King reports officers attempted to stop 33-year old William Renz on a motorcycle for traffic violations on North Harrison Street shortly after 11:30 p.m. He says the motorcycle sped off and officers pursued until Renz lost control of the bike and crashed on Old Madisonville Road. Renz was reportedly injured in the crash and was taken to Paducah for treatment.
Renz was charged with 1st Degree Fleeing and Evading Police, 1st Degree Wanton Endangerment of a Police Officer, Reckless Driving, and other traffic and registration offenses.
