Project Linus Wraps Marshall Students In Love

Fourteen hundred students at Marshall County High School were wrapped in love Monday, thanks to the generosity of a western Kentucky non-profit organization based in Trigg County. Project Linus Chapter Coordinator for Western Kentucky, Kelly Price says they arrived at the school around 10:30 and said the principal was overwhelmed by the amount of blankets being delivered to the students.

Price and volunteers handed out the blankets to students during their lunch break. She says seeing the response from the students and teachers was amazing.

She adds the reaction by the students was humbling and it almost took her breath away.

She says this could not have happened without the volunteers.

As we previously reported, Price collects and makes handmade blankets for Project Linus to help provide comfort to children show have suffered from a serious illness, a tornado, or a tragedy. In addition, several hundred blankets were delivered to Cadiz from Chapters across the United States in order to assist her with reaching her goal of delivering 1,400 blankets to the students of Marshall County.
