Teen Charged With Fleeing Police, Wanton Endangerment

An 18-year old male is facing several charges after he allegedly fled from police in Crofton over the weekend. Shortly before 8:50 Saturday night, Kentucky State Police reports a trooper observed the driver of a pickup truck pull out of Huck's gas station squealing tires, which caused his truck to fish-tail as it entered the roadway.

Police say the trooper activated his emergency equipment to stop the vehicle, but the driver, later identified as Jordan Shepherd, continued westbound on Crofton Dawson Road until he lost control of the truck, went through a ditch, into a residential yard and back onto the road where the vehicle came to a stop. Shepherd was taken into custody without further incident.

Shepherd was booked into the Christian County Jail charged with 1st Degree Fleeing or Evading Police in Motor Vehicle, 2nd Degree Wanton Endangerment, 3rd Degree Criminal Mischief, and three traffic related violations.
