There are only nine days left to file for partisan office in Kentucky this year. In Christian County, Hopkinsville Ward 12 incumbent, Phillip Brooks filed for re-election and is currently running unopposed. Joshua Gydesen filed to run as a Republican for Constable District 3. Two others have filed for the job but as Democrats.
In Trigg County, Perry Cox filed to run as a Republican for Jailer. He will appear on the May Primary ballot with challenger William "Eddie" Proffitt. The winner will face incumbent James Hughes in November.
Also filing in Trigg County were several non-partisan candidates. Connie Rogers, John Perry Fourqurean Jr. and Daniel Hale all filed seeking a seat on the Soil and Water District Board.
