The soybean crop in western Kentucky appears to be one of the better ones in recent years. Hopkinsville Elevator Grain Manager Ben Westerfield says yields have been consistently good through the harvest season.
Westerfield says the wet fall season did provide some moisture challenges.
He adds the prices have been pretty good for the year.
The good yields for the soybean crop combined with strong yields for corn and wheat will help make the crop year fair for Western Kentucky Farmers.
