We will be collecting packages of new underwear and socks for the Lighthouse Family Resource Center at the Trigg County Primary and Intermediate Schools. We are accepting boys and girls sizes 4t-16\, at the library from now until November 1st. Check out this year’s goal – 500 pair! \nThe resource center gives out an estimated 35 pair of underwear and 15 pairs of socks each month. This may be due to accidents\, illness\, no access to clean clothes\, and other circumstances. These donations help with the supply of emergency underwear and socks at the resource center. The donations can be brought to the front desk at the library. Stop by and drop off some new drawers and socks for a good cause! We appreciate your continued support of our community.

The theme this year is “Juleps\, Jockeys\, and Jazz “ as we celebrate Christian County in the 1920s and our history with horse racing. This year\, we also commemorate Flying Ebony\, a horse born in Christian County\, winning the Kentucky Derby on this date exactly 100 years ago!\n\n\nLike last year\, we are inviting artists to create artwork inspired by pieces from our collection that will be auctioned the night of the gala. The artifacts are officially on display in our “Create from the Collection” exhibit located in the lobby of the Pennyroyal Area Museum.\n\n\nStay tuned for more details about tickets and other festivities connected to the Museum Gala!
