As Kentucky prepares for the 2026 general election, local high school seniors are stepping up as civic leaders through the Kentucky Electric Cooperatives’ Co-op Champions program.
Supported by Pennyrile Electric, student leaders Kady Fuller of Trigg County High School and Brayana Jones of Christian County High School hosted voter registration drives in their schools this fall.
The initiative follows their participation in the Washington, D.C. Youth Tour and supports the nonpartisan Co-ops Vote effort, which encourages young Kentuckians to engage in the electoral process.
Kentucky Secretary of State Michael G. Adams said, “By encouraging young Kentuckians to register, speak up, and get involved, we’re empowering them to shape their communities and the future of our Commonwealth.”
